Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
HuGR Technologies Pty Ltd (HuGR, we, us) builds AI agents and automation for construction and industrial businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Contact details such as your name, role, company, email address and phone number. We collect these when you contact us, book a conversation, or from public sources such as company websites, LinkedIn and public licence registers.
- Notes and recordings of calls. Phone and video calls with us may be recorded and transcribed so we keep accurate notes. If you would rather a call is not recorded, tell us and we will turn it off.
- Website usage. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are viewed and how. It does not use cookies. Some pages we send by email are made for a particular business, and we can see whether those pages were opened and which sections were viewed.
- Client data. When we build or run an agent for a client, it works with that client's documents, emails and records. This can include personal information about the client's staff, subcontractors and suppliers.
How we use it
- To talk to you about our services, reply to you and follow up.
- To build, run and support the agents our clients engage us for.
- To keep records we need for accounts, tax and legal reasons.
We do not sell personal information. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time by replying to any email or emailing the address below.
Client data and AI
- Client data is used only to provide the service to that client.
- It is not used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
- Where we can, data stays in the client's own Microsoft 365 environment. Where we need to store it, we use infrastructure we control with access limited to the people working on that client's system.
- Access to a client's systems is limited to what the agent needs, and is approved by the client.
- At the end of an engagement we return or delete client data as set out in our agreement with that client.
Microsoft Teams app
When a client installs a HuGR agent in Microsoft Teams, the agent receives the messages people send to it and reads the documents the client has given it access to. It uses that information only to answer and do the work it was set up for, for that client.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run our business and our agents, including Microsoft, Google, Vercel, Supabase, Twilio and AI model providers such as Anthropic. They process information on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. Some of these providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls, encryption in transit and least-privilege access to client systems. If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to cause serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a complaint, by emailing dean@hugrtech.com.au. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
